Bobcats Selected Third in Metro Preseason Poll

Cupo, Anderson Named to Preseason Team
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Women's Soccer team was picked to finish third in the 2026 Metro Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office on Thursday, August 6th.
Quinnipiac received 146 total points and received one first-place vote. The Fairfield Stags were selected to finish first in the Preseason Poll, finishing with 164 points and nine first-place votes. The reigning conference champions, Sacred Heart, were picked to finish second, receiving 151 points and three first-place votes. Canisius and Siena finished tied for fourth with 118 total points.
Graduate forward Morgan Cupo and sophomore midfielder/defender Corey Anderson were selected to the Preseason All-Metro team.
Last season, Cupo capped off her senior season with 11 goals and 24 points, leading the squad in both categories. Cupo earned All-Conference First Team honors, All-ECAC First Team, and All-Academic honors. Cupo will return for a fifth season and will be a key part of the team's success after starting all 15 games she appeared in last season.
Coming off a stellar first season in Hamden, Corey Anderson was named to the Preseason All-Metro team. In her first year, Anderson was named to the All-Conference Second Team after recording four goals and three assists for 11 points. Anderson had an immediate impact for the Bobcats, starting all 16 contests and playing over 1,400 minutes.
The Bobcats will begin their season on August 12th, traveling to Worcester, Massachusetts to take on the Holy Cross Crusaders for a 6 PM kickoff.
