HAMDEN, Conn. — Junior Rebecca Drake led the offense with five RBI, while Casey Herzog and Kendall Brundrett earned complete-game wins in a 10-2 and 6-2 home sweep over MAAC foe Canisius on Saturday, April 7, at the QU Softball Field.

Quinnipiac will be back in action on Sunday, April 8, when the Bobcats host MAAC foe Niagara in a doubleheader. The first pitch of game one is set for 12 p.m.

- Herzog's 11 wins surpasses her total of 10 wins from last season.
- Herzog pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs and striking out three.
- Herzog also led the offense, going 3-for-3, including a two-run home run.
- Keilani Finley drove in three runs in the victory.
- Rebecca Drake had two RBI and Megan Dyson added one RBI.
- Quinnipiac struck first, scoring five runs in the second inning.
- With runners on the corners, Dyson drilled an RBI single to left to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.
- Drake immediately followed with a two-run double to give Quinnipiac a 3-0 lead.
- Two batters later, Herzog lined a two-run homer over the left-field fence to put the Bobcats ahead 5-0.
- The Golden Griffins tallied a run in the top of the third, but Quinnipiac scored five more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- With runners on second and third, Keala Cordeiro reached first on an error, scoring a run.
- Two batters later, with the bases loaded and one out, Keilani Finley drilled a bases-clearing triple to left field to give Quinnipiac a 9-1 lead.
- Dyson made it 10-1 after reaching on an error, allowing Finley to score.
- Canisius added one more run in the top of the fifth, but it wasn't enough as the Bobcats secured a 10-2 win in five innings.
- Kendall Brundrett got the start and earned her third win of the season.
- Brundrett pitched a complete game, giving up two runs while striking out one.
- Drake led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
- Miranda Magana added two RBI and Erin Larsen drove in a run.
- Canisius scored first, tallying a run in the top of the first.
- Quinnipiac registered two runs in the third inning when Magana drilled a two-run double to left.
- The Bobcats added four runs in the fourth inning to increase their lead.
- With one out in the inning, Finley, Brighid Douglas and Dyson drilled three straight singles to left to load the bases for Drake.
- Drake stepped to the plate and hit a bases-clearing double to give Quinnipiac a 5-1 lead.
- After taking third on a wild pitch, Drake scored when Larsen singled her home to give Quinnipiac a five-run lead. Canisius responded with one run in the top of the fifth but did not muster another.
