NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Junior Taylor Troyan drove in the lone run for the Bobcats as Quinnipiac fell to in-state rival Central Connecticut with a 11-1 win on Thursday afternoon at the CCSU Softball Field.

- Erin Larsen was the lone Quinnipiac player to record multiple hits on the afternoon as she went 2-for-3 in the loss.
- Keala Cordeiro, Keilani Finley, Casey Herzog and Rachel Marchuk all picked up a hit apiece as well.
- CCSU jumped out to a 5-0 lead after scoring five runs in the first inning.
- Quinnipiac responded with a run of its own after Troyan hit a saf fly in foul territory in right field that was able to drive in Herzog.
- The Blue Devils went on to score six more runs over the next two innings.
- Kendall Brundrett got the start and took the loss.
- Abbey Long pitched in relief, striking out five in three innings of work.
