JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Alexandra Sazhin shot a 76 (+4) to lead the Quinnipiac women's golf team to a third-place standing, five strokes off the lead, after the first round of the Benbow Invitational on Monday in blustery and rainy conditions in Jacksonville. The second of two rounds will be played tomorrow at the Blue Sky Golf Club.
Head Coach John O'Connor: "While it's nice to be in Florida, we had a very, very windy and rainy day today. It was a tough day on the golf course; the conditions were not very good. So all in all, for my "A" team to shoot a 310, I'm pretty pleased with that. Alexandra proved that she can play shooting a 76 today is a very good round."
