Ives Tallies 32 Saves, Bobcats Tie Raiders, 3-3

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's hockey team tied the Colgate Raiders on Saturday afternoon, 3-3. After a flurry of five goals in the first period, the score remained 3-2 for the Bobcats until the third period when Colgate tied the game. Overtime was not enough for either team and the game would finish, 3-3.
Junior netminder Abbie Ives notched a season-high 32 saves against the Raiders. Junior Kati Tabin had two points with a goal and an assist, and senior Melissa Samoskevich and freshman Lexie Adzija both netted their third goals of the season.

- (00:57, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 0, Colgate 1: Less than one minute into the first period, Colgate's Rosalie Demers secured a pass from Eleri MacKay, who was her own blue line, and drove hard to the net with Olivia Konigson on her back. Demers went top shelf to score her second goal of the season.
- (11:31, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 1, Colgate 1: Melissa Samoskevich got the Bobcat's scoring started with a drive from the blue line to send the puck past Liz Auby. Kate Mackenzie registered the helper.
- (11:46, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 2, Colgate 1: Less than 20 seconds after Samoskevich's goal, freshman Lexie Adzija scored from the right side after a toe-drag move past a Raider to give the Bobcats the lead. Kati Tabin recorded the assist.
- (17:11, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 1: Junior Kati Tabin scored off a diagonal pass from Kezie Lancaster to give Quinnipiac a two-goal lead.
- (19:32, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 2: The Raiders scored with under one minute left in the first period after a rush from their own blue line. Colgate's Jessie Eldridge netted her eighth goal of the season from Shae Labbe and Livia Altmann.
- (14:32, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 3, Colgate 3: Eldridge scored her second goal of the game after a 1-on-1 breakaway against Ives to tie the game, 3-3.
- Tabin led the Bobcats with two points on a goal and assist. The junior now has six points on the season with two goals and four assists.
- Lancaster, Taylor House and Kate Mackenzie all recorded assists in the tie. Mackenzie has recorded an assist in three of the last four games.
- Abbie Ives notched a season-high 32 saves in the tie. The junior is now 3-4-3 on the season.
- The Bobcats were perfect again on the penalty kill, allowing only two shots for Colgate through four minutes of penalties. Quinnipiac has not allowed a power play goal in six games since Oct. 13 in a 3-3 tie with Vermont.
- Colgate outshot Quinnipiac 35-15.
