JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Rashawn Dally (Bloomfield, CT), Colton Grob (Suffield, CT) and Eamon Whelan (New Fairfield, CT) all scored for the Bobcats on Wednesday afternoon at Jaroschak Field, as Quinnipiac men's soccer topped Saint Peter's, 3-2, to earn its second-straight victory to begin MAAC play.

SCORING SUMMARY

3:48 (Quinnipiac 1, Saint Peter's 0): Rashawn Dally got the scoring started for the Bobcats, tracking down a deflected ball in front of a crowd of defenders and blasting it into the upper-left corner of the net less than five minutes in.
33:19 (Quinnipiac 2, Saint Peter's 0): Colton Grob gave Quinnipiac a two-goal advantage in the 34^th minute of action, burying a shot into the upper-left corner of the goal from just outside the box. Simon Hillinger (Ditzingen, Germany) tallied an assist on the play.

NOTES

Goalkeeper Jared Mazzola (Katonah, NY) made eight more saves in net, earning his fourth-straight win. The redshirt freshman now owns a .829 save percentage, and a 1.15 goals-against average this year.
Dally's goal was his second of the 2018 season, both of which have come in the last two contests.
Grob's goal was the first of his career. The senior has played in 49 career games for the Bobcats.
Whelan now has a team-high six goals and 13 total points this year.
Hillinger assisted on two of the Bobcats' three goals, giving him three helpers so far this year.
With the win, the Bobcats are now 5-5-1 all-time vs. Saint Peter's.

UPCOMING GAME

The Bobcats resume MAAC play on Saturday, Oct. 6, playing host to Manhattan (2:00 p.m.) from the QU Soccer Field.
