Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling is back in action this week when it travels to Philippi, West Virginia to take on Alderson Broaddus University on Thursday, Mar. 16 before heading to Bristol, Tennessee to face King University on Saturday, Mar. 18. Thursday's match will be the Bobcats' first ECAC match-up of the season.

THE BOBCATS' LAST TIME OUT
On Sunday, Feb. 19, Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling lost to Oregon, 284.265-274.945, in a National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association meet at TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Connecticut.
Oregon won two of the first three events of the first half – the Compulsory and Acro events – by a combined .25 points. Quinnipiac stormed back to take the Pyramid event with a score of 29.35-28.90 and headed into halftime leading 97.15-96.85.
WHAT'S WORKING
Through its first two meets of the season, Quinnipiac is averaging 38.30 out of a possible 40.00 in the Compulsory meet including a 9.88 in the Pyramid Heat – including a season-best 9.95 against Oregon - and a 9.90 in the Toss Heat. In the acro event, the Bobcats' best heat has been the 5 Element in which they have averaged a 9.70. In the Pyramid event, the Open heat has yielded a 9.85 average which is carried by a 9.95 against Baylor. Quinnipiac has also averaged a 29.10 out of a possible 30.00 in the Toss event, led by a 9.80 average in the 2 Element.
ECAC ACROBATICS & TUMBLING
Quinnipiac and NCATA members Alderson-Broaddus, Gannon and King were announced as members of the newly-formed Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Acrobatics & Tumbling League. The formation of the league will signal an additional championship for the sport that continues to grow, nationally.
JENNA ADAMS NAMED ECAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
On Feb. 20, 2017, Jenna Adams (Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey) was named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Acrobatics & Tumbling Athlete of the Week, as announced by the ECAC on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017.
Adams appeared in nine of Quinnipiac's 19 heats across five events and posted a record of 6-2-1 for the day. Adams was involved in Quinnipiac's three highest scores of the day of which Quinnipiac was 2-0-1. She was part of the Pyramid heat that posted a team- and event-high 9.95 while also helping the Bobcats win the Tumbling heat with a 9.40 in the Compulsory event.
Quinnipiac then won the 5 Element Acro heat - the only Acro heat they won - with a 9.70. Quinnipiac's second-highest score of the afternoon came in the Synchronized pyramid event, witih a 9.85, followed by a 9.75 in the Open Pyramid, with Adams competing in both. She also helped Quinnipiac to a 9.85 in the 2 Element toss.
WHAT A MONTH
Senior captain Allee Tallman had played a pivotal role in acrobatics & tumbling's two meets during the month of February. The versatile athlete competed in 10 of Quinnipiac's 13 heats to open competition while leading the Bobcats to wins in four of them. Against Oregon at home, Tallman once again showcased her versatility in competing in a majority of the events and leading the Bobcats to five heat victories in a closely contested battle.
