Strong Defensive Effort Allows Only 9 Shots On Goal

Hanover, New Hampshire – Freshman Laura Lundblad scored her first Bobcat goal with just under a minute to play in the second period. The goal came at the perfect time and would be the game-winner for Quinnipiac as they defeated the Big Green of Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon, 2-1. Sophomore Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout netted the first goal of the game for the Bobcats with 15:14 gone in the 2^nd period.

15:14 2^nd Period (QU 1-0): Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout sniped the top left corner of the net from a nearly impossible angle from the right side.
19:01 2^nd Period (QU 2-0): Laura Lundblad tipped the puck past the goaltender after a centering pass from Brooke Bonsteel. Bonsteel received a breakout pass from Coutu-Godbout.

Sophomore Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) picked up a goal and assist. This is her second straight multi-point outing, and third in her last four games.
Coutu-Godbout now has 10 points on the season with six goals and four assists. Six of those points have come in the last four games.
Freshman Laura Lundblad (Ada, Michigan) recorded her first collegiate goal and now has four points on the season.
Sophomore Abbie Ives (Bedford Hills, New York) made eight saves on the afternoon and picked up her ninth win of the season.
Freshman Brooke Bonsteel (Mississauga, Ontario) tallied her second assist of the season and leads all freshman with eight points on the year.
This is the Bobcats first weekend sweep since October 13-14 when the Bobcats took two against Vermont at home.
This is Quinnipiac's first weekend sweep on the road since they defeated Union and RPI on Dec.2-3, 2016.
The Bobcats did not allow a shot-on-goal in the first period of play.
Quinnipiac allowed just nine shots in the game, the fewest allowed this season. The previous mark of 16 was against Vermont on Oct. 13 and Dartmouth on Oct. 27.
The Bobcats are now 8-1-1 when they score first.
Quinnipiac is now 5-1-2 in their last eight games.

UPCOMING GAME
The Bobcats will begin a home-and-home series with Princeton with a trip to Hobey Baker Rink on Friday, Dec. 8 before hosting the Tigers on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Frank Perrotti, Jr. Arena. Friday's game is set for 6 p.m. while Saturday's matchup will featured a 3 p.m. puck drop.
