SCOUTING THE MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS

In her last time out, her hat trick helped propel the Spartans to a 7-1 win against Central Michigan. To date, she leads the team in goals (6), assists (3) and points (15) through three games. Anderson entered the season with her only career goal coming against Quinnipiac last season.

OLIVIA GOLINI NAMED BIG EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Quinnipiac field hockey freshman Olivia Golini (York, Maine) was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday, Aug. 29, 2106.
- Golini saw the first action of her collegiate career on Friday, Aug. 26 when she was tasked with back-stopping the Bobcats in their home opener against nationally-ranked No. 8 Boston College. Golini rose to the challenge, blanking BC over the game's first 35 minutes as she headed into halftime with a shutout on the board and six saves to her credit.
- Despite being credited with allowing a pair of goals in the second half as the Eagles spoiled the freshman's debut to the tune of a 2-0 shutout, Golini was masterful in the cage for the Bobcats. Boston College's first goal came off a two-on-none breakaway that ended with 2015 All-American Emily McCoy bend a shot around Golini's lunging bid. The Eagles second goal came off a loose ball in front of the cage after Golini had twice denied the Boston College attack on the same play.
- Golini's honor is the first BIG EAST weekly award handed out to a Quinnipiac player, as the conference slate kicked-off this past weekend.
ANGIE KING
