HAMDEN, Connecticut – The nationally-ranked No. 4/4 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team extended their winning streak to eight games, tying the longest winning streak in program history, with a 6-0 drubbing of the New Hampshire Wildcats Friday night at High Point Solutions Arena in the final game of the 2015 calendar year.
Quinnipiac also tied its program record for wins in the first half of a season with 14 as they improve to 14-1-3 (7-1-2 ECAC Hockey) with the victory over New Hampshire while the Wildcats fall to 7-14-1 (5-8-0 Hockey East). Previously, the Bobcats had won 14 games on their way to 14-2-5 first half record in the 2013-14 season. The Bobcats also extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games, the second longest unbeaten streak in program history.
The Bobcats scored six goals in a game for the third time this season, and for the second consecutive Friday after pouring seven goals on the Dartmouth Big Green on Dec. 4. Even more impressive than the Dartmouth game, the Bobcats held the Wildcats to just seven shots, the second lowest shot total on the season after allowing just three shots on goal to Brown on Oct. 30. Quinnipiac outshot New Hampshire 26-7 in the game.
Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) and Nicole Connery (Newmarket, Ontario) each tallied three point games to lead the Bobcats while Nicole Brown (Oshawa, Ontario), Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) and Nicole Kosta (Mississauga, Ontario) each recorded two-point games.

Her three-point game was her league-leading fourth three-point game of the season and 11th multiple-point game in 2015-16. Cianfarano is riding a four-game multiple point streak and has record multiple points in six of the last seven games, resulting in 10 points in the last four games and 15 in the past seven.

Brown capped off the scoring for Quinnipiac with 2:28 to play in the second period and give the Bobcats a 6-0 lead, their third game of at least six goals this season. Barry started the breakout in the defensive zone to Woods at center ice, who skated the puck to the right boards and into the offensive zone.
