The Bobcats were outshot in a game for just the first time all season long, as Harvard outshot Quinnipiac 22 to 15, including 11-5 in the first period. After the first period, both defenses took over the control of the game.
Haley Mullins game-winning goal for the Crimson was her third of the season while Lyndsey Fry's game-tying power play goal was just her first of the season.
Harvard went 1-2 on the power play due to Fry's goal while Quinnipiac was 0-3 on the man advantage.
West gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead 7:51 into the game to take the momentum of the first period. Emma Woods stole the puck on the forecheck and her shot from the right faceoff circle went wide caroming along the boards to West at the left point. West stepped up to play the puck and fired a shot low past Harvard goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer's blocker side.
Maschmeyer finished with 14 saves on 15 shots between the pipes for the Crimson
Harvard tied the game with just 28 seconds remaining in the first period when Lyndsey Fry skated the puck behind the net and positioned herself low in the left faceoff circle to rip a shot top shelf in the opposite corner of the net past Laden.
Mullins netted the game-winning goal with 12:51 remaining in the third period for the Crimson. Karly Heffernan shot the puck from the right faceoff circle and Heffernan stood on top of the crease to redirect the puck home.
