
Uden Johansson Scores Twice for No. 4/4 QU Women's Ice Hockey in 4-4 Tie with Dartmouth

Hanover, New Hampshire – Erica Uden Johansson (Sundsvall, Sweden) scored two goals for the No. 4/4 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team as they tied the Dartmouth Big Green 4-4 in a high scoring affair at Thompson Arena Friday night.
It was Uden Johansson's second multi-goal game of the season and fourth of her career as she netted her sixth and seventh goals of the season. It was also her fourth multi-point game of the season and second in her last three games. Uden Johansson increased her career point total to 86 as she recorded career goals No. 38 and 39.
Nicole Kosta (Mississauga, Ontario) recorded a goal and an assist in the tie as she scored her fourth goal and recorded her 10th assist of the season. Kosta is tied with Uden Johansson with 86 career points after her fifth multi-point game of the season.
Shiann Darkangelo (Brighton, Michigan) also registered her first multi-point game of the season with a career-high three assists, which brings her season total to five. Darkangelo now sits at 91 career points with 50 goals and 41 assists.
Meghan Turner (Bedford, New Hampshire) found the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season when she tied the game in the second period on Nicole Brown's (Oshawa, Ontario) ninth assist of the season.
The Bobcats (13-0-3, 6-0-2 ECAC Hockey) extend their unbeaten streak to 16 games with the 4-4 tie while the Big Green (4-4-1, 2-3-1 ECAC Hockey) snap a four-game losing streak.
Chelsea Laden (Lakeville, Minnesota) recorded 21 saves on 25 shots in the tie to extend her personal unbeaten streak to 15 games while her counterpart Robyn Chemago stopped 29 of 33 shots.
Kennedy Ottenbreit scored two power play goals for Dartmouth in the tie while Morgan Illikainen added a power play goal of her own and Eleni Tebano scored the game-tying goal.
The Big Green went 3-5 on the power play in the game while the Bobcats went 0-1.
Uden Johansson put the Bobcats on top just 4:56 into the first period after Darkangelo gathered the puck behind the net, skated to the right side of the goal and fed a pass to Uden Johansson in the right faceoff circle where she one-timed the shot high, glove-side past Chemago to take a 1-0 lead.
Dartmouth tied the game 1-1 with 9:28 remaining in the first period as Quinnipiac allowed just its second power play goal all season. Ottenbreit skated in front of Laden and re-directed Olivia Whitford's shot from the right point just past Laden.
The Big Green took their first lead of the game 5:43 into the second period with Ottenbreit's second power play goal of the game when she skated from the right corner behind the goal for a wraparound shot that went under Laden's pad to make it 2-1.
Just 14 seconds later, the Bobcats evened things up 2-2 when Brown fired a centering feed into the slot from the left boards to a streaking Turner who tipped the puck past Chemago to keep Quinnipiac right in the thick of things.
Uden Johansson re-claimed the lead for Quinnipiac with 4:29 remaining in the second period after Darkangelo won the faceoff in the right faceoff circle to Kosta who she skated in behind the net to pass the puck to a wide open Uden Johansson in the left faceoff circle and bang home her second one-timer of the game.
Morgan Illikainen tied the game 34 seconds into the third period for Dartmouth after the puck came loose in the crease after a shot by Kennedy Ottenbreit and Illikainen swiped the puck home for Dartmouth's third power play goal.
Kosta put the Bobcats ahead once again 4-3 with 13:08 remaining in the third period when she dumped a pass off in the neutral zone for Darkangelo who skated in from the right faceoff circle to rip a shot off Chemago's pad and Kosta was in the slot to fire home the rebound from one knee.
The Big Green came back to tie the game 4-4 for the third time in the night with just 3:23 remaining in the third period after Ailish Forfar won the face off back to Samantha Zeiss who's shot from the point was redirected by Tebano in the bottom of the left faceoff circle past Laden.
Quinnipiac has a quick turnaround as it travels down to Cambridge, Massachusetts to take on the No. 10/10 Harvard Crimson at The Bright-Landry Hockey Center with puck drop scheduled for 4 P.M.
