
Volleyball Falls At Sacred Heart, 3-0

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Amanda Armstrong (Waukesha, Wis.) had a season-high seven blocks, but the Quinnipiac University volleyball team was defeated by intrastate rival Sacred Heart, 3-0, Wednesday night at the Pitt Center. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 2-13 (0-2 NEC), while the Pioneers improve to 12-4 (2-0 NEC).
Olivia Grattan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had a team-high six kills for the Bobcats, while Kayla Lawler (Louisville, Ky.) had 19 assists. Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) added a team-high nine digs.
The Pioneers took the first set, 25-15, before winning both the second and third sets by 25-17 margins.
The Bobcats return to action Sunday, when they travel to Hackensack, N.J., to take on Fairleigh Dickinson. Action from Stratis Arena is scheduled for 1 p.m.
