
Volleyball Falls To St. Peter's, 3-1, In Quinnipiac Invitational Opener

Taylor Payne (Warwick, N.Y.) paced the Bobcats with 11 kills, while Olivia Grattan (Mount Lebanon, Pa.) and Amanda Armstrong (Waukesha, Wis.) had 10 kills apiece. Kayla Lawler (Louisville, Ky.) had 42 assists to go along with 14 digs, while Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) also had 14 digs. Tracey Wright (Fair Lawn, N.J.) added 13 digs, while Stephanie Biediger (Houston, Texas), playing her first match in nearly two years due to injury, had 12 digs.
The Bobcats opened the match with a 25-21 victory in the first set. But the Peahens fought back to even the score with a 26-24 win in the second set. St. Peter's was too much for Quinnipiac, taking the third and fourth sets, 25-17 and 25-15, respectively.
The Bobcats return to action tomorrow, when they face Dartmouth and Hartford at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively, to close out action in the Quinnipiac Invitational. St. Peter's will also face Hartford at 11:30 a.m. and Dartmouth at 4:30 p.m. in Saturday's other Quinnipiac Invitational matches.
