Terrance McLellan returns to Quinnipiac University in August 2018 as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach. McLellan will serve as the main strength and conditioning coach for men’s tennis, women’s tennis, and women’s golf.
McLellan joins the staff having an extensive background in strength and conditioning at the collegiate setting. His first full-time experience was at Central Maine Community College, a JUCO basketball powerhouse, as an assistant strength and conditioning coach spending most of his time with men’s and women’s basketball. During his tenor with the Mustangs, he was a part of the 2016-2017 USCAA Women’s National Championship team.
Most recently, McLellan served as a sports performance coaching assistant at Duke University from May through July 2018. McLellan has also held internships with the University of Maine Orono, Springfield College, and here at Quinnipiac University.
A certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, McLellan graduated from University of Southern Maine in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. During his time at USM, he was a four-year starting defenseman and was awarded the William B. Wise Award (3.5 GPA or higher) while playing lacrosse for Huskies. McLellan is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership.
McLellan is also USA Weightlifting and Reflexive Performance Reset certified.
