- Attended Suffield High School in Connecticut
- Grob was part of a Suffield team that won back-to-back-to-back Class M State Championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013
- Led his team to North Central Conference Titles in four consecutive years, 2011-2014
- As a freshman, Grob was named the Connecticut State Tournament Most Valuable Player in 2011
- Named to the All-Conference and All-State teams for three straight years, 2012-2014
- Grob earned All-New England honors in both junior and senior years
- As a senior, Grob was named All-American, Connecticut Junior Soccer Association All-American, Connecticut Player of the Year, CJSA Youth Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player of the Senior Bowl
- Is a member of the Connecticut Football Club (CFC)
- Joined Dally to win back-to-back CJSA State Championships in 2013 and 2014
