Former Quinnipiac All-American Graciano Brito just completed his eighth season on the sideline with the Bobcats’ coaching staff in 2019. Brito, arguably the best player to graduate from QU, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Bobcats’ men’s soccer program.
Over Brito’s first eight seasons on Quinnipiac’s coaching staff, the Bobcats have posted a 70-54-36 overall record – going 52-16-12 in conference games (NEC in 2012, MAAC in 2013-current).
Since joining the MAAC prior to the 2013 season, Quinnipiac has appeared in three MAAC Tournament title contests (2013, 2016, 2018) under Brito’s guidance. The Bobcats have posted an impressive 44-15-11 mark in regular season MAAC games.
Most recently, Quinnipiac continued its success as a program in 2019. The Bobcats went 7-2-1 in league play to earn the No. 2 seed in the MAAC Tournament. The program went 9-6-3 overall, winning six of its last eight games to conclude the regular season schedule.
Back in 2008, Brito wrapped up a stellar four-year stint with the Bobcats. In his final season, Brito became the fifth player in Northeast Conference history to earn back-to-back Player of the Year honors. The three-time captain was tabbed to the All-American team twice and named one of ESPN SoccerNet’s Top Forwards at the conclusion of his career. He ranks second on Quinnipiac’s All-Time Scoring (40) and All-Time Point (92) lists.
Originally from Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, Brito earned a degree in international business upon his graduation in 2008. He currently resides in Hamden, Conn.
