Recorded his first assist of the season in a 5-2 win over St. Cloud State on Oct. 23 ... Netted the game-winning goal 5:12 into the third period at Colgate in a 3-2 win on Nov. 7 ... Picked up an assist in Quinnipiac’s 6-0 win at Princeton on Dec. 29 ... Recorded his third assist of the season against Colgate on Feb. 6 in a 6-3 win ... Notched his second goal of the season at in a 5-4 overtime victory at Rensselaer on Feb. 19 ... Picked up an assist the following night in a 3-3 overtime tie on Feb. 20 ... Saw ice time in 26 games for the Bobcats … Selected to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team … After being scratched for the first 12 games of the season, McKernan came on with one goal and two assists to go along with just six penalty minutes while appearing in 26 of the final 27 games of the 2014-15 season … Landed his first career point with an assist on Feb. 7 in a 4-2 win at Colgate … Scored his first career goal and finished with a season-high +2 plus/minus rating in a 4-1 win over Clarkson on Feb. 14 … Collected one assist in Game Two of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals against Union on March 14.

Led the Boston Jr. Bruins to the 2013-14 USPHL Championship … An assistant captain for the 2013-14 season, McKernan was second on the team in terms of defensive scoring with 25 points (six goals, 19 assists) in 46 games … First joined Bruins organization in 1994 and started his juniors career with Boston in 2008-09 … Played six full seasons for the Bruins starting in the EJHL where he posted back-to-back 25-point and 26-point seasons in 2009-10 and 2010-11, respectively … Played for the Bruins’ top squad the last three season, never playing fewer than 41 games in a season … Developed into a goal scorer during his final two seasons as he finished the 2012-13 and 2013-14 campaigns with six goals scored.
