Miner Named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse goalie Evan Miner has been named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Miner made 13 saves for the Bobcats in last Saturday's victory over nationally-ranked Sacred Heart. He registered five stops during the fourth quarter, helping lead Quinnipiac to a 16-14 road win over the No. 20 Pioneers.
The senior has 80 saves so far in 2026 in six contests. He's allowed just 63 goals over 325+ minutes.
He's the second Bobcat to win a MAAC weekly award this year. Junior Nate Watson was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026 following Quinnipiac's season-opening win at UMass Lowell.
The Bobcats move to 2-3 in MAAC play with Saturday's win.
Quinnipiac returns to Hamden for Senior Day against Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, April 11 (2:30 PM start time).
