Bobcats Defeat Mount, Win Crucial MAAC Series

Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Bobcats took down the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers, 3-2, in the rubber match on Sunday afternoon in Hamden to win the series. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 20-22 overall and 11-10 in MAAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Quinnipiac opened the scoring in their half of the first inning as Jack Balcer lined out to right field, allowing Caden Williamson to score the game's first run.
The Mountaineers immediately answered in the top of the second inning as Cameron Biller doubled home Carson Clark to tie the game at one.
With two outs in the home half of the sixth inning, Chase Camac delivered a two-run single to put the Bobcats in front, 3-1.
The Mountaineers loaded the bases in the top of the eighth inning and scored a run on a walk to make it a one-run game.
After the Mountaineers loaded the bases in the top of the ninth inning, J.c. Franconere delivered a one-pitch save, getting a double play to end the contest.
