Men's Lacrosse Claims 2 MAAC Weekly Awards

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's lacrosse program has captured two MAAC weekly awards, as revealed by the league office on Monday, April 20, 2026. Max Pauwels has been tabbed Faceoff Specialist of the Week, while Duncan Zielke has earned Rookie of the Week status following the Bobcats' road victory over Iona on Saturday.
Max Pauwels was dominant at the faceoff x for the Bobcats on Saturday, winning 13-of-17 attempts to help control possession. He's up to a 47.8% success rate at the FO position this season.
Quinnipiac – who has already clinched a spot in postseason play – will finish off the regular season on Wednesday, April 22, hosting Manhattan in Hamden at 3:00 PM. The final day of action in the MAAC will determine Quinnipiac's seeding in postseason play.

Duncan Zielke helped aid Quinnipiac's offensive effort with four goals and two assists. He now has 13 goals for the season. The first-year Bobcat posted a season-high mark in goals (4), assists (2), and points (6).
The Bobcats have now won four MAAC weekly honors so far in 2026.
