Bobcats Top UNCG in 11 Innings

Greensboro, North Carolina – Chase Camac and Kyle Garbowski both drove in a run in the 11th inning, lifting the Quinnipiac baseball team to an extra-innings win over UNC Greensboro by the final score of 5-3 on Sunday afternoon. The Bobcats finish the weekend taking two of three against UNCG.
Alex Irizarry drove in the first two runs of the game for QU.
Caden Williamson went 3-for-4 and scored two runs for the Bobcats from the nine hole.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Andrew Rubayo tossed 6.0 solid innings on the mound for QU, surrendering just three runs with five strikeouts. James Pazdera (3.2 innings) and Matt Alduino (1.1 innings) combined to throw a scoreless five innings out of the bullpen.
The Bobcats took an early lead of an Alex Irizarry single, scoring Caden Williamson to make it 1-0 QU in the top of the 3rd inning.
Brody Gardner responded in the fourth for UNCG, though, doubling in a pair of runs to give the home team the 2-1 advantage.
Alex Irizarry then singled to shallow center field in the 5th inning, scoring Williamson once again to even it 2-2.
Jake Barbour launched a solo shot in the 6th for UNC Greensboro to make it 3-2.
Quinnipiac tied things and forced extra innings when Chase Camac reached on a throwing error to plate a run.
Chase Camac and Kyle Garbowski were the heroes in the 11th, driving in a pair of runs.
Matt Alduino finished off the final four outs to earn the win on the hill.
