Bobcats Earn Second MAAC Sweep Against Niagara

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac softball team completed its second MAAC sweep of the season with a 3-1 victory over Niagara on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first inning, Ally Hochstadter sparked the offense with a leadoff walk in the second. Riley Potter followed with Quinnipiac's first hit before Aryn Bombery broke the game open with a three-run homer, the sophomore's second career home run.
The Bobcats' defense took over from there, holding Niagara to just one run on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh.
Shannon Kendall earned her ninth win of the season, tossing her seventh complete game. Kendall allowed just one run on three hits and struck out two.
Quinnipiac improves to 8-1 in conference play
