Hamden, Conn. – After the conclusion of game on was played, the Pioneers kept their bats going as they defeated the Bobcats, 10-4, in game two of the series. With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 4-11 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Alex Irizarry got the Bobcats on the board first in the bottom half of the opening inning, singling home Chase Camac with the game's first run.

The Pioneers had the immediate response, striking for five runs in their half of the second inning to take a four-run lead.

Quinnipiac made it a three-run game in the fourth inning as Caden Williamson scored on a Matt Park groundout to third.

With the score remaining 5-2 in the sixth inning, Matt Park came back to the plate and brought the Bobcats a run closer as he brought Caden Williamson with a sacrifice fly.

Sacred Heart responded with four straight runs, pushing their lead to 9-3 as the game went to the bottom half of the eighth inning. Matt Park drove in his third run of the game, singling home James Marino with Quinnipiac's fourth run of the game.

The Pioneers added another run in the ninth and closed out game two with a 10-4 win over the Bobcats.

NEWS AND NOTES

Seven different Bobcats recorded hits in the loss to Sacred Heart.
Matt Park led the offense, recording three RBIs in the loss. Park's season RBI total grew to five in the effort.
Alex Irizarry drove in his 10^th run of the season with his RBI single in the first inning.
