Dailey Makes MAAC History at Giegengack Invite

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Nyasia Dailey made MAAC history on Saturday afternoon, becoming the first woman in league history to crack the 7.40 barrier in the 60m dash, racing 7.39 to win the event at the Giegengack Invite at Yale.
The sprinter followed up her 7.45 in the prelims with yet another victory in the sprint race as she remains undefeated in the indoor season.
Another MAAC-topping time included Claire O'Sullivan in the 500m, who ran 1:16.15.
Talia Graham continued her strong winter, matching her indoor program record with a mark of 3.80m in the pole vault.

TOP 10 PERFORMANCES
- Dailey continued to distance herself atop the 60m program chart, now sitting 0.13 clear of second after she ran 7.39 on Saturday.
- Izzie Anzaldo, Sydney Lavelle and Kiera Baxter all jumped up the 60m rankings as well in the meet. Anzaldo ran a 7.57, good for third all-time, Lavelle finished in 7.69 which is fifth all-time and Baxter clocked in at 7.75 which puts her seventh.
- Claire O'Sullivan ran the 500m in a MAAC-best 1:16.15, sitting her sixth on the program rankings in that event.
- Zoe Merryman clocked in at 2:14.78 in the 800m, slotting her seventh all-time.
- Gabrielle Appiah marked 12.69m in the shot put, bumping her up to fourth. It's also the best mark by any Bobcat since 2022.
- Graham re-hit her mark of 3.80m in the pole vault, which is also good for second-best in the MAAC.
- Lauren Boyd jumped up to fourth in the long jump rankings with a mark of 5.61. Grace McQueeney sits two spots back after her mark of 5.55m.
