Bobcats Lead After Day 1 of MAAC Championships

NEW YORK — The Quinnipiac women's indoor track and field program enters Day 2 in first place of the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference indoor track and field Championships after a strong showing in Day 1.
The Bobcats earned a victory in the distance medley relay to highlight the night, with Ashley Carillo, Emma Byrne, Ashlynn Witt and Madeleine O'Neill combining to finish the race in 12:04.33, which bested the Rider team by 1.29 seconds.
In the 5k, four Bobcats earned points, with Sierra Gray and Rachel St. Germain finishing on the podium and Zoe Merryman (fourth) and Avery Palmucci (eighth) also contributing points.
In her first MAACs, Kayleanne Campbell earned a silver medal and second place finish for eight points to the Bobcat cause, while Shaelyn Murphy and Zoe Santos also added points.
ADVANCED TO SUNDAY FINALS
Day 2 of the MAAC Championships will commence at Noon at The Armory in New York City. The entire meet will be broadcast on ESPN+.
