Named to the 2015-16 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team ... Sat out the 2015-16 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules.
Before Quinnipiac:
Played two seasons at Air Force Academy before transferring to Quinnipiac in 2015 … At the start of the 2016-17 season, Truehl will have two years of eligibility remaining … A 2013-14 Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie selection, Truehl starred in his freshman season where he went 8-3 with a 2.01 GAA and .921 save percentage … As the Falcons’ primary starter in 2014-15, Truehl went 13-18-4 with a 2.96 GAA and .893 save percentage … Before arriving in Air Force, he played in 24 games for the Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League in 2011-12 and posted a .902 save percentage … Played 38 games for the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL in 2012-13 and led the team with 17 wins … Posted a .923 save percentage and 2.33 GAA while making 941 saves in 2,031 minutes of action for Johnstown.
