HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling program was picked No. 3 in the 2026 NCATA Preseason Poll, the organization announced on Friday afternoon.
The Bobcats entered last season's national tournament as the third seed, knocking off Iona before dropping its semifinal matchup to Oregon. It was Quinnipiac's eighth consecutive trip to the final four and is seeking its first national title match appearance since the 2018 campaign.
Mary Ann Powers' club collected a pair of individual national titles in the Sunday event finals, as returnees Ashleigh Dugan, Emily St. Onge, Anna Sullivan, Mackenzie O'Hare and Alyssa Esposito were part of the six-element acro event that scored 9.775 en route to the crown.
Later in the afternoon, St. Onge and Esposito were joined by another current Bobcat, Kathryn Coker, scoring 8.925 in trio tumbling to earn that title as well.
Quinnipiac is coming off a 2025 regular season that featured a 7-1 regular-season record, its only blemish coming in a 1.15-point loss to then-No. 2 Oregon. The Bobcats are 13-1 over their last two regular-season campaigns.
They will return to the mat on Monday, Feb. 9 when they host Gannon on opening night, a team picked No. 9 in the preseason rankings. The Quinnipiac schedule features a pair of teams in the top four of the national rankings, with the Bobcats trekking to No. 2 Oregon and welcoming No. 4 Iona to Hamden during the 2026 season.
