HAMDEN, Conn. – On Monday afternoon in Hamden, the Quinnipiac Bobcats lost to the Siena Saints by a final score of 7-4 in their final home game of 2025. With the loss, the Bobcats dropped their third straight conference series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats got on the board first in the opening inning. With Johnny Knox on base, CJ Willis launched a two-run home run over the left field wall to give Quinnipiac a 2-0 lead.

Siena made it a one-run game in the second inning with an RBI single to right field. In the third inning, Siena struck for four runs, which all went unearned, to take a 5-2 lead.

Quinnipiac got two runs back in the sixth inning, making it a one-run game. Sean McCulloch brought the Bobcats within two as he singled home Christian Smith with their third run of the game. With McCulloch on third, Gabe Wright laid down a bunt that scored McCulloch to make it a 5-4 game.

The Saints got a few insurance runs in the eighth inning, taking a 7-4 lead into the final innings. The Bobcats were unable to bring home any runs as the Saints held on to secure the series win.

NEWS AND NOTES

Seven different Bobcats recorded at least one hit in the loss, while two of those hitters recorded multiple hits.
Kyle Garbowski led the offense with three hits in the series finale.
Garbowski is now hitting .327 on the season, which is good for fourth on the team.
Jackson Bryan picked up two hits in the effort, his second straight two-hit performance.
CJ Willis drove in two RBIs with his first-inning two-run home run to left field.
Willis is up to 12 home runs on the season, good for second on the team.
With his two RBIs, Willis now leads the team with 59 RBIs this season.
Sean McCulloch and Gabe Wright each picked up an RBI.
Sam Wright was charged with his first loss of the season as he went 3.1 innings, allowing five runs on five hits. Four of those five runs were unearned.
Matt Alduino pitched 3.1 innings of no-hit baseball in relief.

The Bobcats will begin their final conference series of the regular season as they travel to Fairfield, CT, to take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers starting on Thursday, May 15^th at 1 PM.
