Women's Golf Finishes Day One in First Place

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL. – On Thursday, the Quinnipiac women's golf team finished the first round of the 2025 MAAC Championships in first place at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.
First-year Sophia Fujita finished day one in first place with a 68 (-4) score. Fujita's score of 68 is the best single-round score since 2010 (as far back as individual results are available).
First-year Marisa Flores, who also finished in the top 10 for the Bobcats, recorded a 75 (+3) as she shot par on the first six holes.
Vaidehi Shah and Fuge Zhang tied for 11th place, recording a score of 76 (+4). Shah shot par six times in a row, from hole five to nine. Samantha Galantini rounded out the Bobcats grouping as she tied for 17th place with a day one total of 77 (+5).
The Bobcats will return to the course on Friday, April 18th, as they play round two of the 2025 MAAC Championship.
