CANTON, MA – On the final day of the Red Bandana Invitational, the Quinnipiac women's golf team rose two spots to finish in sixth place among 15 teams. The Bobcats shot a 307 (+19) on the final day to give them a three-round total of 933 (+69).

Michelle Wong jumped up two spots in the overall leaderboard after shooting a 77 (+5) on the final day of competition. Wong finished the two-day invitational with a total score of 233 (+17).

Sophia Fujita and Zoie Chan closed out the invitational with a tournament total score of 234 (+18). Chan shot a 76 (+4) in the final round, which caused her to rise 12 spots in the rankings. Fujita carded a 78 (+6) on the final 18, which was her second-best round of the tournament.

Marisa Flores shot a 77 (+5) on Tuesday, giving her a tournament total score of 235 (+19). Flores shot a 77 in the first and third rounds and shot an 81 (+9) in the middle round at the Blue Hills Country Club.

Samantha Galantini finished the Red Bandana Invitational with her best round of the tournament, shooting a 77 (+5) in the third round. Galantini finished the tournament with a score of 237 (+21).

Tekla Fine-Lease also had her best round of the tournament on the final day, as she shot a 76 (+4) in round three. As an individual, Fine-Lease recorded a total score of 249 (+33).

The Bobcats will be back in action on Monday, October 12^th, to start play at the Quinnipiac Classic.

SCORES AND NOTES

Quinnipiac was one of five Metro Conference teams that competed in the Red Bandana Invitational and ranked second among the five teams, finishing one stroke behind the Fairfield Stags (932).
As a team, the Bobcats finished eighth in birdies (21) and second in pars (160).
Samantha Galantini tied for 13^th in the field with six birdies, which also led the Bobcats.
Michelle Wong led Quinnipiac with 35 pars, which tied for the fifth most in the tournament.
