Men's Tennis Clinches Regular Season Championship

TRUMBULL, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's tennis team defeated Sacred Heart 7-0 on Sunday evening to clinch the outright MAAC Championship for the first time in program history.
With the 7-0 sweep, QU also has earned a bye in the MAAC Tournament at Mercer County Tennis Park in West Windsor, N.J., and will play on Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 AM. The Bobcats are looking to complete a perfect regular season for the first time since joining the MAAC on Thursday, April 17 at Fairfield University.
In the win over SHU, QU got doubles wins from Finn Burridge / Carlos Braun Simo and Daniel Velek / James Lorenzetti. In singles, Velek, Braun Simo, and Vishal Prakash all won in straight sets while Finn Burridge, Elias Hoxha, and Alex Yang each won in three.
