Five Bobcats Earn All-MAAC Honors, Led by Braun Simo’s First Team Selection

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac Men's Tennis captured four different All-MAAC awards for the 2024-25 regular season, as announced by the conference office on Thursday, April 23rd.
Junior Carlos Braun Simo was named to the All-MAAC Singles First Team, posting a 7-1 record and winning the MAAC Player of the Week award three times this season. Braun Simo also picked up Second Team Doubles with first-year partner Alessandro Sciacca.
Carlos Braun Simo - First Team Singles: Braun Simo picked up his third All-MAAC singles honor in as many years, and second First Team selection. The junior went 7-1 at No. 1 singles in league action, winning six in straight sets.
Elias Hoxha - Third Team Singles: Hoxha earned his second All-MAAC singles honor after picking up five conference wins. Hoxha clinched a 4-3 victory over Fairfield to keep the Bobcats' postseason alive. The sophomore holds a 13-3 record in MAAC singles play.
Carlos Braun Simo / Alessandro Sciacca - Second Team Doubles: The junior and first-year posted a 5-3 MAAC record at No. 1 doubles.
Csanad Nyaradi / Vishal Prakash - Second Team Doubles: Nyaradi and Prakash picked up their first doubles honors at No. 3 doubles, recording six straight wins in the MAAC after the first two were unfinished.
In addition to their recognition for on court success, QU had seven Bobcats named to the MAAC All-Academic Team:

The Bobcats finished the regular season with an 8-11 record while going 5-3 in MAAC play to earn the No. 3 seed in the upcoming MAAC Championship. QU will face the No. 2 seed Rider on Saturday, April 25, at 5:00 PM at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J.
