Willis Named To Preseason All-MAAC Team

Bobcats Were Also Selected 4th in Preseason Poll
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Baseball has been selected to finish 4th in the 2025 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as revealed by the league on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The Bobcats received 114 total points in the poll. Senior outfielder CJ Willis was selected to the Preseason All-MAAC team.

In his first season in Hamden, Willis hit .284 in 49 games played last season. Willis was second on the team in runs batted in (42) and doubles (11). Willis hit eight home runs, good for third best on the squad, and three triples, which led the team.
QU went 20-30 overall and 10-14 in the MAAC last season. The Bobcats missed the MAAC tournament for the first time since the 2022 season. Quinnipiac finished fourth in the MAAC in batting average (.269), fourth in home runs (47), and fifth in runs scored (343). Quinnipiac finished the 2024 season in eighth place and lost the tiebreaker to miss the MAAC Tournament.
The Bobcats start their season this Friday, Feb. 14, at noon as they open in Wilmington, North Carolina, against #11 Georgia.
