Quinnipiac Sees 3-0 lead cut to 3-2, but no closer in 4-2 victory
HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 18/20 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program earned its sixth win in seven tries on Friday night, defeating Princeton 4-2 at Hobey Baker Rink in Princeton, N.J.
10 different Bobcats found the scoresheet, with four different goalscorers and six others providing an assist on the night.
Quinnipiac scored the first three of the night in the opening 24:40 of the contest, with Elliott Groenewold, Jack Ricketts and Aaron Schwartz finding twine. The latter two were on the power play.
Princeton cut the deficit as close as 3-2 at the 3:28 mark of the third, but Quinnipiac was able to withstand the pressure and Aaron Bohlinger put the icing on the cake with an unassisted empty netter.
Dylan Silverstein got the start in net for the Bobcats, making 16 saves on 18 shots on goal.

STATS AND NOTES
- Quinnipiac is now 9-2-1 over their last 12 contests and has won six of its last seven.
- Tyler Borgula extended his assists and points streak to five consecutive games, serving up six helpers over that span.
- Groenewold has scored in back to back games, doubling his first half total in five games since the break.
- Ricketts and Travis Treloar moved a point closer to the 100-point club tonight, with Ricketts potting a goal to get to 98 career points and Treloar adding an assist to move to 97.
- Mason Marcellus added an assist tonight, recording a point in 11 of the last 12 outings.
- The Bobcats are three points clear at the top of the ECAC standings, sitting at 21 points.
