HAMDEN, Conn. — Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling head coach Mary Ann Powers announced the hiring of both Chloe White and Tiffany Zieba as assistant coaches on Friday, bringing back both alums to her staff for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.
"Chloe White and Tiffany Zieba are both former standout student athletes," Powers said. "Their impact will be fueled by dedication, passion and commitment to growing every individual player on our roster. Chloe and Tiffany are invested in the growth of this sport, the excellence of our culture and representing Quinnipiac with pride."
Both were standout members of the Bobcats' nationally-ranked program, reaching the summit on the NCATA National stage, claiming individual national titles. White was a key member of the Inversion Pyramid in 2023, while Zieba is a two-time national champion in the quad tumbling pass, earning the 2022 and 2023 title in the event.
"I am beyond thrilled to be back at the Q as a coach this season," White said. "The team culture and standard of excellence that the A&T program upholds is first-class and unique, and I look forward to both continuing and furthering the growth of our team and sport. It means the world to have an opportunity to pour into a program that has poured so much into us during our athletic careers."
"Hanging up the jersey and returning to Quinnipiac as one of the assistant acrobatics and tumbling coaches was a decision I felt, deep down, was a simple yes," Zieba said. "This significant decision was comforted by the presence of a coach who has greatly influenced me, as well as the opportunity to coach alongside Chloe. From day one, this team has always held a special place in my heart. I am proud to come back to Quinnipiac as a coach now, with my three incredible mentors, Mary Ann Powers, Camren Diaz, and Melanie Mancini, who have been nothing but a positive impact."
The Bobcats earned two individual titles at the 2024 national meet and were the No. 2 seed going into the National Championships, making their seventh consecutive appearance in the NCATA Final Four.
