Turner Announces 2024-25 Non-Conference Schedule

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey program has revealed its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season, as announced Head Coach Cassandra Turner and the Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon.
The non-conference slate features 13 games with four at home in Hamden while the Bobcats will hit the road for nine games.
Prior to starting the regular season, QU will make the short trip to Storrs, Conn. to face UConn in an exhibition on September 21.
The Bobcats will open the season on the road at Maine on September 27-28. QU is 7-0-1 in the last eight meetings between the two teams. Quinnipiac will continue on the road, traveling to Boston, Mass. to face Northeastern on October 4-5 and are 5-9-2 versus the Huskies since 2001.
The Bobcats will host Providence on October 8 for their home opener before heading to Providence on December 15 to complete the home-and-home. QU has won three of the last four matchups between the two teams since 2022.
Turner's squad will host Syracuse for a two-game series on October 18-19, the first meeting between the two teams since the Bobcats 4-0 win in the First Round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. QU will then hit the road for a single game at LIU on November 12. Quinnipiac is 6-0 versus LIU since 2021, outscoring them 32-1.
The Nutmeg Classic will be hosted by Sacred Heart at Martire Family Arena in Fairfield, Conn. on November 29-30. The Bobcats will face Sacred Heart in the first game on November 29 and will either face Yale or UConn in the second game.
The Bobcats will face Sacred Heart one more time to wrap up their non-conference schedule at home on December 3. QU is 16-0 versus Sacred Heart since 2002, having allowed only seven total goals against in those games.
Cassandra Turner is back at the helm for the Bobcats, entering her 10th season with a record of 190-99-27. The Bobcats return Third Team All-ECAC honoree Kendall Cooper and ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team selection Kahlen Lamarche. QU will also have 14 newcomers on this year's squad.
