Golf Sits In First Place After Day One Of FDU Invitational

HAMBURG, NJ. – After day one (36 holes) at the FDU Invitational the Quinnipiac women's golf program sits in first place (+28) out of 15 teams.

Aimee Uchida sits at the top of the leaderboard after day one of the Invitational. Uchida shot a -3 (69) in round one and finished day one on par (E).

Leeyen Peralta sits right behind Uchida in second place after she finished the two rounds at a +2. Peralta finished round one a +2 (74) and round two on par (72).

First year Alexia Egdahl currently sits in a tie for 12^th place heading into the final day. Egdahl was a +3 (75) after the first 18 holes before wrapping up day one at a +9.

Fuge Zhang finished day one in a four-way tie for 30^th place. Zhang finished the two rounds a +18 (162).

Emily Luu rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping and sits in 53^rd place after the first 36 holes of competition. Luu finished a +25 (169) on the day after finishing round one a +20 (92).

Riley Carey competed as an individual and sits in a tie for 57^th place (+27).

The Bobcats will be back in action on April 8^th as they conclude play at the FDU Invitational at the Crystal Springs Country Club in Hamburg, NJ.

SCORES AND NOTES

Quinnipiac sits in first place after day one and is 16 strokes ahead of second-place Merrimack.
Uchida and Peralta sit one and two on the leaderboards after the first 36 holes.
Uchida leads the Bobcats with 8 birdies and Peralta is second on the team with six.
Peralta leads the club with 25 pars, while Egdahl is second on the team with 23.
Quinnipiac leads the field with 102 pars and 20 birdies after day one.
