Women's Golf Wraps Up First Day in Delaware

Rehoboth Beach, D.E. - The Quinnipiac women's golf team competed in the first day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Saturday at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. After day one in Delaware, the Bobcats sit in ninth place out of 12 teams.

Junior Samantha Galantini was Quinnipiac's highest finisher after the first day, as she currently sits in a tie for 20^th place. Galantini closed out the first day, shooting a 72 (E) in the second round on Saturday.

Sophia Fujita finished one stroke behind Galantini and sits in a five-way tie for 25^th place. Fujita finished the opening day with a two-round total of 150 (+6).

Coming in behind Fujita was Tekla Fine-Lease, who finished with a score of 152 (+8) on the opening day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.

Natalie Spiska and Marisa Flores rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping with day one total scores of 154 (+10) and 155 (+11), respectively.

The Bobcats will compete on the second day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Sunday, October 19^th, at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

SCORES AND NOTES

Samantha Galantini closed out the first day, carding a 72 (E) on the final 18 holes on Saturday.
Sophia Fujita opened the Invitational with a 74 (+2) in the first round.
Tekla Fine-Lease had a solid second round, recording a score of 74 (+2) to close out her day.
Natalie Spiska and Marisa Flores both shot a 75 (+3) for their best round on day one.
