HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Softball team split its Saturday afternoon doubleheader against Manhattan, taking the second game 4-3 on an Ally Hochstadter walk-off triple.

In game one Manhattan scored early taking a 2-0 lead after the third inning. They would hold onto win 4-1 while Sofia Vega was the lone Bobcat with multiple hits in the game.

In game two, the Bobcats flipped the page and scored two in the second inning to take the lead. Manhattan would take it back briefly before QU was able to notch runs in the sixth and the seventh to win.

Game One

Sofia Vega had two hits to lead QU.
She hit her fifth double and first triple of the season.
Natalia Apatiga, Brooke Hilliard, and Ella McGalliard each had a hit.
Sydney Horan and Jaclyn Gonzalez combined for seven strikeouts to seven hits.

Game Two

Sofia Vega and Natalia Apatiga extended their hit streaks to six games.
Brooke Hilliard and Julia Woeste each had two hits, including a double for both.
Ally Hochstadter won the game for the Bobcats with a pinch-hit walk-off triple.
It was Hochstadter's first triple of the season.
Eight different Bobcats had a hit.
Sydney Rosenkranz hit the first double of her collegiate career.
Sydney Horan pitched a complete-game and struck out seven batters while only giving up four hits and one walk.

The Bobcats have a quick turnaround, hosting Manhattan tomorrow for game three of the series. First pitch is scheduled for noon in Hamden, Conn.
