FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Softball team split its doubleheader with Fairfield University on Tuesday afternoon, with a 13-run outburst in game two.

Game one went nine innings, with the first eight being scoreless. Sydney Horan pitched a complete game, only allowing one run on six hits with five strikeouts. Hannah Davis had two hits in game one.

In game to, the Bobcats scored a run in each of the first three innings as well as one in the fifth before scoring a season-high nine runs in the sixth inning. Jaclyn Gonzalez pitched a complete game shutout while only allowing five hits and one walk.

McGalliard also scored two runs.
Hannah Davis went 1-3 with an RBI, two runs scored and a walk.
Taylor Walton, Mary Fogg, Sofia Vega, and Amanda Engel each drove in a run.
Amanda Engel went 2-3 with a run scored as well.
Mary Fogg, Sofia Vega, and Amanda Engel each had a stolen base.
