Bobcats Split Contests at The Spring Games

MADEIRA BEACH, FL. – The Quinnipiac Softball team went 1-1 in its second day of the Spring Games, defeating Southern Indiana 7-1 and losing a close one to St.Bonaventure 8-6.
The Bobcats started out strong in the first game, scoring 3 runs on four hits in the bottom of the first. QU then plated one run in the second, two in the third inning, and one last insurance run in the sixth. Kennedy Demott recorded a pair of hits and three RBI's in the victory, while Brooke Hilliard and Amanda Engel each drove in a run.
Sydney Horan and Lauren Hilliard worked seven combined innings, allowing just three total hits.
Sofia Vega led the Bobcats in hits (2) during the second matchup vs. St. Bonaventure, while Mary Fogg delivered 2 RBI's.
