Kenny Scores Four as Bobcats Grab Road Win at Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va. — The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse program earned its first win of the season on Wednesday afternoon, knocking off Old Dominion by a 14-10 final.
Lauren Kenny led the way offensively, potting a career-best four goals for the visitors including three straight Bobcat tallies at the end of the second and into the third.
Angelina Sparacio added a pair of fourth-quarter goals to end up with a four-point day, while Melissa Murphy added two ground balls and three caused turnovers.
The Bobcats scored three of the first four and eventually seven of the first 10 to create distance. They would keep it the rest of the way as the game never got closer than two.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats hit the road again a week from Friday, taking on Canisius in their MAAC Opener at 4 PM in Buffalo, N.Y.

STATS AND NOTES
- Head coach Jordan Christopher earned her first win as a collegiate head coach.
- Kenny's four-goal output increased her season total to six, with five of them coming in the last two outings.
- Sparacio matched her season best with a four-point outing, currently sitting with a team-high 16 on the season.
- Murphy matched her season-high with three caused turnovers and now has 15 on the season. It was her fourth game of the season with multiple GBs and multiple CTs.
- The Bobcats potted a season-best 14 goals, besting their previous of 12 against Sacred Heart.
- Cate Bendowski added a three-point day, setting a new career high.
- Quinnipiac recorded a season-low 10 turnovers in the contest while recording 11 caused turnovers.
- The Quinnipiac defense has recorded 26 caused turnovers in their last two games.
