Women's Ice Hockey Announces Leadership Group Ahead of 2023-24 Campaign

HAMDEN, Conn.— Quinnipiac women's ice hockey head coach Cassandra Turner announced the 2023-24 leadership group. Graduate defender Kate Reilly and graduate forward Sadie Peart will serve as the Bobcat's Co-Captains while senior defender Kendall Cooper and graduate forward Alexa Hoskin have been tabbed Assistant Captains.
Peart is back in action in the leadership group after serving as an assistant captain for the Bobcats last season. Reilly, Peart, and Hoskin each announced their return for a fifth season this year in March.
Kate Reilly, Co-Captain-
Kate Reilly was the 2023 Sarah Devens Award Co-Recipient and played in all 40 contests during the 2022-23 season. She posted eight goals and 10 assists last season, including the game-tying goal in the third to force the historic triple overtime against Penn State in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
Reilly led the team in blocked shots, led the defenders in goals scored, and posted a +18 through 40 games. She has a career record of 21 goals and 37 assists for 58 points through four years.
Sadie Peart, Co-Captain-
Sadie Peart served as an assistant captain during her senior year with the Bobcats, she tied for first on the team for game-winning goals and scored the overtime winner against St. Lawrence to send the Bobcats to the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals.
Peart saw action in all 40 matchups last season, posting 14 goals and 14 assists ranking fourth on the team in points. She has played in 132 games during her four years as a Bobcat with a 45G-48A-93P record.
Alexa Hoskin, Assistant Captain-
Alexa Hoskin tallied 24 points during last season's campaign, ranking fifth on the team in total points. She scored the lone goal against Colgate in the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals and recorded seven goals and 17 assists through 36 matchups, a career high season. Peart posted two powerplay goals and two game winners.
Hoskin has seen action in 107 games throughout her career and recorded 19 goals, 41 assists and 60 total points.
Kendall Cooper, Assistant Captain-
Kendall Cooper was named to the ECAC All-Conference Second Team in 2023, lead the defense in goals scored with six, and tallied two game-winners. Cooper scored a goal against Ohio State in the NCAA Regional Final this past season.
Cooper enters her fourth year with the Bobcats and has posted 15G-42A-57P through 84 career games. She saw action in 33 games this past season and posted a +15 with two powerplay goals. She was named to the 2021 ECAC All-Rookie Team in her first year.
