HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University women's golf Head Coach John O'Connor announced the addition of Corinne Halliday as an assistant coach to the program on Monday, Aug. 21.
"It's never easy to replace an assistant like Julia Kemmling who has been a part of some of our most successful seasons," O'Connor said. "Julia is moving in a different direction but will continue to work with and help our program."
"I look forward to having Corinne assist our program to further growth and more success," O'Connor continued. "Corrine brings a ton of golf experience and plenty of managerial and organizational skills to our program. Corinne will be tasked with running our Quinnipiac Classic and bringing in higher ranked teams from around the country. She will also be helpful in insuring that our teams practice and competition facilities and equipment is available to help our student athletes continue to improve."
Prior to joining O'Connor's staff, Halliday served on the Town of Fairfield Golf Commission for five years, the last two as their Vice Chair. In that role, she was charged with the oversight of two golf courses located in Fairfield.
Halliday also previously served as the varsity coach for the Fairfield Ludlowe girls' golf team in 2016 and for the Ludlowe boys' team in 2017, while also providing oversight for their respective junior varsity teams.
Halliday served as the President of the Women's Golf League at the H. Smith Richardson golf course in Fairfield for two years and currently operated on the board of two other leagues.
