Sam Dion Joins Bobcats for 2023 Season

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's soccer has announced the signing of incoming student-athlete Sam Dion, as revealed by Head Coach Eric Da Costa on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
Dion – a defender originally from Saco, Maine, is currently playing at Avon Old Farms Prep School in Connecticut. He plays his club soccer at FSA out of Farmington.
"What first drew my attention to Quinnipiac was the beautiful campus, scenery and high-quality facilities," Dion said.
"Besides playing soccer, I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people from all around the world. I'm especially excited to meet all of the incredible staff members that work at QU. I expect to create lifelong relationships with plenty of new people from inside and outside of the soccer team."
Dion was a four-year starter at Avon Old Farms, serving as the program's captain twice. He recorded a 3.7 GPA last year. The defender will enter the Bobcats' program in the fall of 2023.
