Later in the inning, Swenson reached on a fielder's choice, scoring O'Connor again, followed by a McGwire Tuffy RBI single to extend the lead to 4-0.

After the two sides went scoreless for three innings in extras, QU struck first for four runs in the 13th. Mueller and Kyle Maves came through with back-to-back RBI singles before a two-run double from O'Connor extended the lead to 11-7. However, Siena scored four runs of their own in the bottom of the frame to tie the game at 11-11.
In the 14th, McGwire Tuffy scored on a sacrifice fly from Anthony Donofrio to give the Bobcats a 12-11 lead. It proved to be the winning run as the Bobcats held on for the one-run victory.
GAME TWO: QU 7, SIENA 0
Quinnipiac struck first for a run in the opening frame, as O'Connor served an RBI single to the outfield to give the Bobcats an early advantage. Quinnipiac added two runs in the third as Matt Tesoriero and O'Connor each scored on a wild pitch to take a 3-0 lead.
After extending the lead to 5-0, Donofrio pushed the lead to 7-0 off a two-run blast to right-center in the sixth. The deficit proved to be too much for the Saints, as the Bobcats held on for the seven-run victory.
