
Bobcats Drop MAAC Game at Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team dropped a MAAC game at Fairfield University, 9-4 on Wednesday afternoon.
After going down early, the Bobcats scored three goals in the second quarter to bring the score even. The Stags would go on to score five unanswered goals to take the lead which they would never give back.
Mia Delmond scored a pair of goals, while Sophia Iaccino and Emily Feeney each added a tally.
Quinnipiac's defense was tough all day, forcing 19 Fairfield turnovers. Kat Henselder, Lauren Hayes and Melissa Murphy all recorded a pair of CTs each, while Henselder and Maddie Deegan scooped up four ground balls apiece.

The Bobcats return to action on Saturday afternoon, hosting Manhattan for its Youth Lacrosse Day at 3 p.m., at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.

- Maddie Deegan tied her career high in Gbs with on the day. She had that many on April 20, 2022 in a matchup at Iona.
- Kat Henselder made 12 saves in goal, tied for her third most on the season.
