HAMDEN, Conn-- The Quinnipiac softball team dropped a doubleheader against Canisius on Monday, April 3. Hannah Davis recorded her second home run of the year in game one against Canisius.

SCORING SUMMARY
Game one-
Second Inning-

The Bobcats took a 2-0 lead after Hannah Davis hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the second.

Fifth Inning-

Canisius tied the game at two in the top of the fifth as a single to left from Giese scored Farris who was on third after advancing on a passed ball.
Burkey pinch ran for Giese and ultimately scored after advancing to second and scoring on an error at first base.

Seventh Inning-

The Griffins took the game in the seventh as a two-run homerun by Fazzolari put Canisius up by two.

Game two-
First Inning-

The Griffins went up by four runs in the first inning, with two runs coming on a McGee-Ross single to second, as Alfaro and McGee-Ross scored on errors at center field.
Rivait scored from third on a sacrifice flyout to left field by Falquez.
The fourth run of the inning came as Fazzolari scored, unearned on Gomez' single down the right field line.

Second Inning-

Canisius added another run in the second, as Alfaro scored on Rivait's single to left.

Seventh Inning-

The Griffins scored six runs in the top of the seventh to bring the final score to 11-0 in Canisius' favor.
Three runs were scored on two singles from the Griffins, followed by another run added on a double from Gomez.
Costan's single brought in two more runs before the Bobcats were able to end the inning.
