HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team is back in action with a packed slate of four games over the next four days. The Bobcats return to Dunkin' Park, the home of the Hartford Yard Goats, on Thursday for a matinee matchup with CCSU at 10:30 a.m. Quinnipiac then returns to Hamden for a three-game weekend set vs. Mount St. Mary's.

HISTORY VS. CENTRAL CONNECTICUT

The Blue Devils carry a 41-19 record all-time against the Bobcats into the contest
CCSU is 6-1 in the last seven contests vs. Quinnipiac
The last time these two sides faced off, CCSU came away with a 9-7 victory over QU on April 4, 2023
Anthony Donofrio led the offense with a homer and three RBIs
McGwire Tuffy added two RBIs of his own in the loss
The last time Quinnipiac played at Dunkin' Park, the CCSU downed the Bobcats 9-6 on April 26, 2022

Junior Keegan O'Connor is enjoying a breakout junior campaign
O'Connor is batting .275 on the season which ranks sixth on the team
O'Connor ranks fifth on the team in hits with 39
He boasts seven homers, six doubles and 31 RBIs on the campaign
O'Connor was hot at the opening MAAC series at Rider, batting .750 (9-for-12) with two homers and four RBIs over the three-game stretch

SAINT ANTHONY DONOFRIO

Anthony Donofrio was the lone Quinnipiac player to earn All-MAAC Preseason honors heading into 2023
Donofrio is batting .340 on the season
He leads the team with 49 hits on the season
Donofrio leads the team with 10 homers and 43 RBIs
Donofrio boasts 110 career hits in 81 games
In a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats at UMES, Donofrio batted .412 with seven hits, including two doubles, two homers, and six RBIs
Donofrio boasted a slugging percentage of .882% and recorded five runs scored in the series sweep over UMES
He tallied at least a hit in each contest, including two in all but one contest.
Last season, Donofrio earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as an outfielder
Donofrio batted .343 in 2022, boasting a team-best 61 hits while adding 11 doubles, seven homers, two triples, and 25 RBIs
Donofrio was a menace on the basepaths, swiping 15 bags last season
Donofrio averaged nine strikeouts per nine innings pitched, in just over 4.0 innings of work.

QU baseball head coach John Delaney announced a new team member, signing six-year-old Cameron Wilson through Team IMPACT in a press conference held in the Mount Carmel Campus Rec Center on Feb. 12, 2022
He will participate in many activities with the baseball team over the next two years, including games, practices, and other team events
